In addition to the thousands of fruit trees available at the nursery each winter (see the Fruit Trees Online tab at the top of page), we also carry many fruit trees in container during the remainder of the year. Most of them were potted up from our bareroot stock, so the selection is not as extensive as during bareroot, but they have the advantage of being plantable at any time. We also carry dwarf citrus, kiwi, cane berries and blueberries in pots throughout the growing season.
Summer vegetable starts begin arriving about mid March, bringing the promise of tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, beans and more. Many herbs like thyme, oregano, dill, basil, parsley and cilantro can be planted at this time, too. Winter vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, peas, Brussels sprouts and lettuce become available in September as do onion sets, garlic and shallots. Seed potatoes arrive in February. We also have a great selection of seeds from Lake Valley Seed, all non-GMO and untreated, as well as a good assortment of organic seeds.
